Rohini Rau represented India for 15 years. She won India’s first international medal for women at the Asian Sailing Championship in 2004. Since then she has sailed 8 World Championships won numerous national and international medals for India.
Rohini campaigned for the 2012 Olympic Games. She quit sailing and finished her MBBS degree and is now working as a doctor in Chennai.
It has taken her 5 years to get back into sailing. But has been keeping up with her fitness. Hoping that one day she will make a come back.
This is it! Rohini will be sailing with a team from India for the J80 World Sailing Championship to be held in Spain - July 13-20 2019.
