I am raising funds for my brother Rohan Hackett (Age:20) fight against a severe deadly condition from a devastating Accident.
On the night of 21st December 2014, just days before my brother's (Rohan Hackett) birthday, we got a life changing call from the local police informing us about a deadly accident that happened on the outskirts of Bangalore (Hebbal). The police informed us that there has been a bike accident where we found two bodies and are taking them Colombia Asia Hospital (Hebbal), and one of them must be your son.
That night my brother had left home to meet his friends. A group of 10 friends had gathered and planned to head to nandi hills as it was just days before my brother's birthday. They left for the destination in a car, reached and were heading back home. On the way back, in the winters of December, they stopped for a quick snack.
Just within minutes, they met a mutual friend passing their way. They spent sometime, and left the place. On the way back home one of the boy insisted to ride the bike (belongs to the mutual friend who was passing) on the way back. They agreed. All the boys insisted my brother to join him on the way back home. As my brother had phobia with bike rides, had refused the offer and insisted to continue the journey in the car itself. As my brother was the youngest among the boys, they had forced him to sit behind the boy who was going to ride the bike.
As they left, on they way back, they met with an deadly accident that left my brother with a 40% brain damage, as had gone into Coma. After many surgeries the doctors were able to control the Intermal bleeding in the brain. After days of restless efforts and prayers, my brother was out of coma, but the doctor had to remove his skull and keep it in his stomach as the brain was enlarged.
This deadly accident has left my brother with multiple fractures bruises and a lifelong trauma. Being from a middle class family we have tried everything to bring back my brother. It's been four long years that my brother has been living on the bed and is in vegetative state of coma, where he can see everything, understand understand everything, but unfortunately can not respond to it. This trauma on his head had made his whole body freeze in a position.
In a hope to bring back his living life we have consulted a large number of doctors. After a endless time of struggle, we got a light of hope that Rohan can be cured. Perhaps comes with a cost that the family shedding their blood and sweat can not earn any time soon. Rohans needs a constructive brain surgery, knee replacement surgery and immensely advanced rehabilitation.
Requesting every whole hearted person out their, to stand together and help rohan get back his life.
