We at Girl up OurStory have come up with our fundraiser initiative- 'Aashiyana' (literally meaning a beautiful home). An adobe for underprivileged girls in Assam, Aashiyana will be a torchbearer for girl empowerment and we expect you to ignite the flame!
Aashiyana will reach out to the BPL households in Assam where there are underprivileged girls and provide them with a kit containing masks and hand sanitisers. We will also be donating our money to other NGOs to distribute compostable sanitary napkins to girls suffering from period poverty. We will be hosting sessions, workshops, online contests as well as an art sale to raise funds.
50% of the funds raised will be sent to the United Nations Foundation to sponsor girls' education in rural areas throughout the world.
