Ritu lost her dear husband, on 18th July, after a short illness. Neeraj, an ex-navy officer,  underwent four operations in the last 4 months but unfortunately breathed his last on 18th after complications arising from previous surgeries. He leaves behind a son, 23 who is in college and a daughter, 18, who is appearing for her senior secondary exams.

The past year has been extremely challenging for Ritu, but she has displayed exemplary courage in the face of adversity and even took to taking additional online classes for kids, in addition to her job as a teacher at DPS, to tide her family over the financial hardships. 

Neeraj's untimely death, however, has placed the family under a lot of mental and financial stress and they have already incurred hospital bills to the tune of 40 Lacs INR.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Ritu pay back her debt of credit cards and medical bills and provide education to her kids
