If most of us can say ‘yes’ to the above – Imagine the plight of young children who are fighting to have even their most basic needs met each day.
Your house help’s tiny tot who smiles at you from the corner of the room- yes, she has dreams too! That little girl who waits gleefully outside your daughter’s dance class and imitates the choreographed steps from afar– yes, she wishes to make it big too! That sheepish boy who looks at the society kids playing cricket in shiny gear- yes, he hopes for a better future too! Each child deserves to dream big and most importantly have his passions recognized and supported.
With this very vision in mind, we at Camp Diaries aim to identify and nurture the talent of underprivileged children in Pune City. With your help and our army of dedicated volunteers, we aim to change the future of every child out there!
How you ask? At Camp Diaries, we reach out to children from government and low-income schools over 6 weekends and teach them a set of skills that they can benefit from! Extracurricular activities that we teach range from dance, drama, music, art and craft while our co-curricular activities explore a vast range of stuff like brain games, computer coding, public speaking and crazy science experiments. Camp Diaries then organizes a showcase on the last day of the camp where the children share with pride what they learnt in the camp sessions, for the parents and outside people. Children who show ability, inclination, and talent to learn more are supported by us to pursue their chosen dreams!
