Hi, I am Shubham Chafe, son of Rajshree Chafe and brother of Rajat Chafe. My mom has been recently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai because of a collapsed lung. Her left has completely collapsed with no possibility of regaining any function and due to her body being dependent on only one lung her heart has developed issues as well. The hospital charges Rs 9000 for ICU per day,  and oxygen meds and tests are excluded. Her treatment i.e her dependency on inhalers and other medicines will be lifelong henceforth. My brother and I are also not doing financially very well. My brother lost his job in the pandemic. I try to earn some through art assignments but that does not cover most of the things. Our expenses are way more now due to all this than what we manage to get home. Since my dad had been hospitalized multiple times in the past too, plus since the covid hit, I had failed to pay my home loan is as well. My brother and I will have to take care of both our parents' medical bills henceforth and the pandemic situation seems neverending. The markets are weak. And we are at a dead end now. These funds will also help us in the post-hospitalization expenses, my home rent and other bills. Till the time Rajat and I find a sustainable source of income this would help us to manage the medical expenses after the recovery and other upcoming expenses.
