Rahul Gupta is part of DB Processing team in Gurugram. He has been with Wipro for more than 10 years. He is a great mentor and always helping his fellow colleagues. He is 34 years old and has an year old daughter. He was infected with Covid19 and was admitted to Artemis Hospital, Gurugram where he received medical attention for almost a month. His wife & daughter were also infected with Covid19 and it has been really difficult for the family to bear all the expenses for his treatment.
While his family has recovered, they are going through a distressful time. Two weeks ago, he was again diagnosed with Black Fungus and had to undergo a small surgery due to acute invasive fungal sinusitis. His family has already exhausted all the personal funds and the additional coverage through the insurance attributed to Covid19.
He needs prolonged treatment and will require additional funds as the cost of injections to cure his fungal infection is very high. He needs a total of 6 vials per day and cost around INR 50,000. This is in addition to the cost of treatment, doctor charges/medicines/misc. expenses. He is in need of an estimated amount of INR 5,00,000 approximately. He is under constant monitoring as his oxygen levels keep dipping.While his family has recovered, they are going through a distressful time. His daughter is looking forward to her father’s recovery. He has always come forward to help and support anyone whoever was in need and now it is our turn to give back to his family in their time of desperate need. We are raising money to cover the cost of his treatment.
