My friend Rahul Ganguly has spent his life fighting for others — as a lawyer who defended Kolkata’s wetlands, as a voice for the voiceless, and as a musician whose songs spread warmth and hope.
He even once raised funds to help a homeless man walk again.
He even once raised funds to help a homeless man walk again.
But on 21st October 2025, tragedy struck. While helping a friend bury their dog, a car accidentally reversed into him, crushing him against a wall. Rahul was rushed to Manipal Hospital, Dhakuria, with shattered bones, torn arteries, and severely damaged muscles.
He has already undergone multiple emergency surgeries, but doctors say he needs several more rounds of reconstructive and plastic surgery in the coming months. The total cost of his treatment is estimated at ₹49 lakhs, far beyond what his family can manage.
Rahul has always been the one to help others — now he needs our help to survive. This is a heartfelt plea from his friends and everyone he’s touched through his compassion and courage.
Please stand by Rahul in his fight for life. Your contribution, big or small, can help him heal, walk again, and continue his journey of kindness. Let’s come together to give Rahul the second chance he truly deserves.
