Hello! I, Jeya Rama Vetrivel 29M from Thoothukudi, Tamilnadu and I am here to raise funds for medical care for my father Radha Krishnan who is 62 years old. My father is self-employed as an Electrician and we live in Thoothukudi with my mom and aunt.
My father is suffering from Skin cancer in the neck now. This is the second occurrence of the tumour which is technically derived as Squamous Cell Carcinoma and spreads targeting lymph nodes on the head and neck. This is a rare type of Cancer considering the demographics of South Indians. Identified as Moderately differentiated (Stage 2) the tumour got operated and as a follow-up, radiotherapy was done costing us around 2.50-Lakhs.
With our routine check-up being restricted due to the covid outbreak, the recurrence of the tumour developed in his neck this June. This time, the cancer cells turned out to be Moderate - Poorly differentiated (Stage 3) and He has undergone reconstructive surgery on August 31st 2021.
Considering the severity of the Tumour cells, the doctors have advised taking Chemotherapy (5 Doses) and Radiation therapy (25 Doses) this time together for a span of 25 working days. The total procedure cost is going to be 2.50 Lakhs excluding stay, as admission inside the hospital is not required for this process.
Breakup as follows:
Chemotherapy - 5Dx3,600 INRRadiationtherapy - 1,95,000 INR
Medication - 15,000 INR
The Frist dose and procedure started on 05th October 2021. Until now, I've spent about Rs.1,00,000 we've arranged amounts from our savings & loans.
