    This fundraiser will benefit

    RACHIT SAXENA

    from Pune, Maharashtra

I m Mehaa Malik, my friend  Rachit Saxena met with an accident on 17th march night. From that day itself he has been admitted to the Noble Hospital, Hadapsar Pune in the ICU.  He is not the resident of Pune but as we were persuing our btech here so he has been admitted here. His condition is not that much stable that we can even shift him to his hometown Delhi.
His mother is the single parent and raised her 2 kids. Now at this moment of life when his son was the one who could take care of the family, he met with the accident and got severely hurt and that too at the brain.
The bike he was driving drifted and his face banged with the pole due to which he got multiple facial fractures and even a fracture in his skull due which he has gone through several surgeries. He was having infection in his left ear , so when the facial surgeeies happened that infection travelled to his brain causing meningitis. Meningitis was a severe infection at that moment docyor declared his condition to be critical and even said that be thankful to god if we are able to save him. And we really are thankful to god for that. After curing his meningitis is infected ear was treated and his undergone a surgergy naming TYMPANOMATOIDECTOMY. After clearing out the infection from this surgery then we got to know that infection was spread in his blood and doctors even said this need to be handled as aoon as possible as the infections in blood are cery dangerous and hinder and body part. Till the date his infection from his blood was not cured his situation was critical as the blood flows all over the body and the blood flowing through Rachit's body was infected and could harm any organ. Even this infection harmed his left lung which collapsed twice and was treated. Moreover there is one more reason for the lung collapse that is he have a tracheostomy done on his neck to supply his body with oxygen. Till date that tracheostomy is still there. Now when he was going onto his recory phase with all his surgeries done . We started with his physio then we noticed brain fluid leaking out of his brain through his nostrils. Now one more surgery is awaited which is to be done related to his brain to stop that fluid to leak . The surgery name is ENDOSCOPIC CSF LEAK REPAIR.
Due to meningitis he got a severe infection in his left side of the brain and left side of brain mainly handles the right side functioning of the body and majorly the memory of the human and even the speech. And because of it his right side of the body is weak that he cannt move his right side. And memory we dont even know what all he remembers and speech is what we havent heard him from past 2 months due to the tracheostomy done. The clear picture of his memory and speech will be when his tracheopupe is removed and that will be possible only when his brain is that much capable to handle and think how much amount of oxygen he needs.
So this fundraiser will be important for his treatment to be done as till today its been a huge amount that have been spent and still we dont even know how much is going to be . So this fundraiser would be a small help in his treatment and a small support from our side to his family.
This fundraiser will act as a life saver not just for Rachit but also for the single mother who is waiting for his elder son to be back in her life.
Help Rachit not just for him but for the sake of humanity as he has been a brilliant student in his engineering years , it's just the last semester of his and we really dnt know what lies in future . As for now the ailing mother waited for 4 yrs just to see her elder son to become a professional in next few months and to be the responsible Man of the Family. Alas something dat is not in her hands , but ur small financial gratitude can make things better for Rachit to be back to life.
