My husband R. Maharajan was working in a private organisation but lost his job pre-COVID. He was completely depressed and could not get any job. With my working alone I could barely support my kid’s education and household expenses.
Recently, My Husband was not well and found uneasy 3 weeks ago. we visited a hospital in hosur where it was told that lungs got accumulated with fluid. The doctors suggested to do surgery for taking the fluid out of the lungs. During the surgery, the needle got broken and struck inside the lungs. As the doctors in that hospital are not able to rectify this damage, they recommended to transfer him to Narayana Hrudalaya, Bangalore. Then we admitted my husband to Narayana Hrudalaya, Bangalore. After their observation, the doctors in NH explained that my husband's lungs got infected and this infection has to be cured before taking the broken needle out else the infection will spread from the right lung to the left lung where needle got struck. Hence, he was subjected to antibiotic treatment to cure the infection. 8 days are over, he is in NICU but the antibiotics treatment is not helping as expected. As the improvements are not visible as expected, from yesterday (6th March'21), he is subjected to Ventilator and planned for steroids treatment.
My husband is a teetotaller and has a stable food habit. The main cause for the infection is not yet understood, due to the complication involved. We are not sure if the infection is due to the broken needle struck inside. I am praying the almighty and believe the doctors to get my husband's life back. As it is NICU with Ventilator treatment, the medical expenses are huge (2 L for alternate days) and we don’t have any funds left to support this. Request your donation to save my husband.
