We are Shwethambari and Mira, teen fellows of Orikalankini’s 13 week Global Fellowship. We would like to see a world that is inclusive and diverse, that accommodates everyone in the world and for that, we have developed this crowd fundraiser through which we aim to achieve Rs. 1 lakh.
Half of the contribution will be going to Orinam, who work for LGBTQIA+ people to be able to access their human rights, free of discrimination. The funds that are collected here will be going to help Orinam for organising Pride events. When there are Pride events being organised on a large scale, then this would increase visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The other half of the funds will be going to Blue Dawn. It is a support group and a facilitator of mental health services. They provide marginalised people with affordable and accessible mental health services. This donated money will go to Blue Dawn which will help in providing therapy sessions to SC, ST and Other Backward Caste communities for free.
We request you to donate generously so that people of this generation can feel safe to express themselves and have better access to mental health.
