I am currently enrolled for MSc in Media and Communication at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) UK. But after my father's sudden death completing my education seems the biggest challenge. 

I shifted to UK on September 20, 2020 and was supposed to join on-campus classes at the LSE from Oct 5, after my quarantine was over. I was attending online classes during the quarantine.

Suddenly, on Oct 1, 2020, my father, Dr Sukomal Dey (68yrs) who was an independent medical practitioner got a massive cerebral attack before leaving for his dispensary.

My father was the only earning individual in our family. Moreover, due to COVID, his medical practice was badly affected since March, even though he was daily opening his dispensary. So, our family income was already in a bad shape.

After he got the attack,  he underwent a critical neurosurgery and was in ventilation till Oct 6. He passed away on Oct 6.

 He didn't have any mediclaim and we paid for all his medical expenses.  After his sudden demise, my mother also got severe bleeding on retina due to hypertension. She also needs to undergo  treatment for this. Moreover, after he got into coma, I rushed to India after my quarantine was over in UK. Due to this sudden coming back, the concession and funding award I had previously, was cancelled.

Now, two biggest challenges are completing my education and help my mother to undergo the treatment for eye stroke. This treatment is very expensive as well. With net family income literally nil now , I am clueless how to deal with the financial crunch. Any financial help during this time will help me make sure my mother retains her eyesight and I can continue my education while searching for a part time job to support the financials of my family.
