Introduction
Brahmasri Chunduru Seetharamanjenaya Prasad, fondly called as Guruji, was moved by the many ills seen through the variety of problems faced by his numerous devotees in particular and the society in general. Anna danam or Annasantarpana (food distribution) and health care, in particular for the needy and the underprivileged, including sadhus and a section of the pilgrims continues to be a key concern in temple towns. Commercialization of temple towns has further added to their woes. Welfare of Sadhus, often ignored, forms a critical element who strive for the welfare of the society with their prayers and spiritual practices.
Guruji says that hunger is the worst form of deprivation; our vedas emphasize on feeding visitors as an essential practice of Sanatana Dharma. Guruji desires that no one should go without food; alongside discourses, spiritual guidance, and character building across age groups, Guruji also has recently started setting up community kitchens termed as Sri Gurusadans in some key identified temple towns. While Bhairava Kona Gurusadan is completed, Sri Gurusadan at Srisailam is currently half way through. Funding support is requested for Srisailam Gurusadan.
Community Kitchen-the Concept and Solution
Prasad Central Trust, set up by Guruji has already implemented the solution in Bhairavakona, a holy abode of Sri Trimukha Durgamba Mahadevi along with Sri Barguleshwari Swamy in Nallamala forests of Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Founded on the principles of honesty, transparency and integrity for emotional well-being, physical health and spiritual evolution as part of Sanatana Dharma,  Prasad Central trust was registered during 2017-18 after two decades of working. Sri Gurusadan at Bhairava Kona is fully operational with community kitchen, dining hall, rooms for accommodation and a community hall for social events, in addition to a yaga shala for conducting homams. Since its launch on 11 March 2021, many persons partake the free food . This facility in particular is catering to the poor families and the local and visiting sadhus, and needy pilgrims. It may be mentioned that during COVID, this facility came as a blessing to the poor, sadhus and the homeless. Gurusadan also takes care of basic care through homeopathy treatment.
All these services are provided free of cost by the Trust. Within a year, Bhairava Kona Gurusadan has become self-sustaining due to the huge good will generated by its honest and dedicated services. Voluntary contributions in cash and kind is priming all the activities of the Bhairava Kona Gurusadan.
Sri Gurusadan-Srisailam
This appeal is for seeking support for a similar effort in Srisailam, another abode of Lord Siva as Sri Bramarambha Mallikarjuna Swamy, one of the twelve Jyothirlingas. A 3-storey building comprising community kitchen, community hall, dining hall, yaga shala etc. is currently underway. Nevertheless, upon Guruji's insistence, temporary kitchen serves food to the poor and the underprivileged, local and visiting sadhus, and a section of the pilgrims (see photos). Free homeopathy treatment is provided to take care of basic health care.
All these services are completely free of cost. To complete this yeoman activity, Prasad Central Trust is seeking your generous contributions. The core aim of Srisailam Gurusadan is that no one irrespective of caste, creed or economic status should go without food and timely basic health care. While Guruji provides spiritual guidance, Gurusadan aims to take care of physical needs. For more information about the Trust, visit https://www.prasadcentraltrust.com
