COVID-19 is taking a toll on the world, causing deaths, illness and economic despair. More than 23 million people have been pushed below poverty in India. There are families that lost their bread earners to covid, children who lost their parents, elderly people abandoned by families because they don’t have money to take care of them. India is bleeding, people are dying not only of covid but due to hunger. Project Uprise is an initiative started to fund families and widows who are capable of working but have been stuck without Jobs at home.
Project uprise will be arranging the monthly ration for 10-15 families for a period of 4-5 months. Our monthly ration kits will contain rice, wheat, 2 types of pulses, vegetable oil and spices.
Our aim is to make sure poor families don’t sleep hungry, help us raise funds so that young children are healthy and parents are fit enough to start working.
