With the nationwide lockdown, a number of daily wagers and the poors have been rendered jobless. With every passing day, the crisis is growing as we have a significant number of families who survive on daily wages or work very hard to meet ends. Workers at construction sites, shops, restaurants, delivery staff, street hawkers, and local transport systems have seen their income coming to a halt. Apart from this, our state which is developed has a huge influx of migrant laborers who are now stuck without food and shelter on the streets.
Who are we helping:
Daily wage earners, poor, slum dwellers and their families in Bangalore whose source of income has stopped
Migrant Laborers and their families stuck in Bangalore without any shelter and food
Medical supplies like medicines for chronic illness for which daily wage earners are not left with any money.
By conducting awareness sessions across Bengaluru
By enabling dignified cremation/burial for COVID / non-COVID related deaths
How are we helping:
We are part of a group of 20+ NGOs working in different parts of Bangalore. As part of mercy mission, we have till date distributed (as on 30th April)

Food Packets: 4,12,814
Cooked meals distributed from 10+ mercy kitchens operating across Bangalore
Ration Kits: 7128
The above kits are estimated to help feed 8.4 lakh meals to the recipients
Awareness Announcements: 12+ Vehicles
Brief pre-recorded messages in 3 languages (Kannada, Urdu, Tamil) were played continuously through autos/ two-wheelers in the initial days of the lock-down to help generate awareness across many slums.
Where your funds will be used:
Our single cooked meal cost us INR 30. We aim to serve 10,00,000 cooked food packets till 31st May and more in case the lockdown extends. INR 30 x 10,00,000 = INR 3,00,00,000
We aim to stop the distribution of ration kits now to avoid duplication and to enable us to reach the neediest.
We aim to procure masks from the women of Avalahalli and distribute them across slums free of cost
All your donations are 80G exempted and a receipt will be issued within 30-45 days of this campaign ending.
