‘Project Shakthi- We Climb so Girls can Read’ , is a courageous initiative established with a Vision to EMPOWER-EDUCATE-ELEVATE girls from underprivileged backgrounds in India. The project is led by two women, Dr.Kavya K.Manyapu, a Space Scientist and Poorna Malavath, a world record mountaineer.
Our mission to raise $100,000 funds to educate 100 girls in India through high-altitude mountain climbs
that would directly support girls from modest economic backgrounds to explore their full potential (K-12 education, vocational courses, sports), starting with girls from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The project starts with the two women climbing an Unclimbed peak (>6000m/>20,000ft) in Ladakh in August 2022, making a first ascent ascent of the mountain during the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence. This is one of many high-altitude mountains planned for the cause.
All donations made to this cause go directly towards the cause.
Dr. Kavya K. Manyapu is a Space scientist working towards landing humans on the moon. Poorna Malavath is the youngest woman ever to summit Mount Everest (@13 years) and has climbed 7 highest summits in the world. These women are trained by Transcend Adventures® who has put 90 people on top of Mount Everest safely.
Our climbs will be documented and telecasted on TV 5 Channel. The team will be highlighting the backgrounds of the girls who will be chosen for sponsorship through funds raised through this project on this website.
We strongly believe that Every Girl’s Voice has a potential to change the world! Let’s show our support to empower girls .
