PREVENTION AND REDRESSAL OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN GUJARAT

PEC is a trust and society registered (No. 16883) in Gujarat in October 2012.
The NGO has been working to prevent sexual violence against children for the last 9 years by raising awareness of child sexual abuse with children in schools, families, and communities. It has also been working on the implementation of the law Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
Our Notable Achievements consist of Conducting awareness sessions on the prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and reaching 79,419 children, 3,422 teachers and 4,707 parents through them. Conducted CSA and POCSO awareness for all 33 District Legal Services Authority (DLSAs) of Gujarat and shared material for them to conduct local training on the same subject in their respective districts. We succeeded in appealing a trafficking case where the trial court had acquitted the accused and failed to order compensation for the rehabilitation of the Child survivor.
Collaboration with Gujarat Mental health Hospital, the Women and Child Department and Gender Resource Centre. We supported 52 survivors at various stages of the Criminal Justice system in 2021 and we have supported survivors in 120 cases over the last three years.https://www.instagram.com/p/CDaqsjpD9Z5/
Expected Output
1. 1000 SA Awareness training will be conducted across 50 rural and urban areas in Gujarat.
2. Field Support Persons will contact 200 survivors and their families.

Awareness Trainings 1000 trainings x 300 =3,00,00
We are elated to inform that we will be receiving support form funders for our legal costs. But, we would rely on this campaign for our awareness training on child sexual abuse in different schools and would require constant support from all of you to keep our activities actively going.
