During these years, we have encountered that in our society, the deeply ingrained notions of honor can have devastating consequences, particularly for girls and young women who have experienced harassment. They have often found themselves trapped in a cycle of fear, shame, ‘log kya kahenge’ dilemma and isolation. The lack of understanding, empathy, and support has exacerbated their pain, leading some to believe that suicide was the only escape from societal judgment and the loss of honor they perceived.
Through our intervention of Empowering Lives by preventing Child Sexual Abuse and Redefining Honor, we seek to break this cycle of tragedy by sensitizing communities and providing essential support. The core focus of our workshops will be twofold: prevention child sexual abuse and dismantling the concept of honor. By engaging children, parents, teachers and local stakeholders, we aspire to create a safer environment where survivors feel heard, validated and empowered to reclaim their lives.
Expected Output
