    This fundraiser will benefit

    Preethi Sateesh

    from Bengaluru (Bangalore) Urban, Karnataka

On the fateful day of October 1st 2018, we lost Sateesh who set out on a trek to Tongariro Alpine Crossing due to extreme weather conditions and blizzard.
Sateesh was out hiking with his cousins when weather conditions suddenly turned inclement.
Amid blizzard-like conditions, Sateesh had reportedly been left behind by his group and had gone missing while he was half way into the 20km trek , keeping his beloved wife preethi anxious and distressed  .
Following this, preethi apprised  the search team by dusk , who got into the rescue mission immediately. Due to extreme weather conditions and loss of daylight , the search had to be abandoned which was resumed early the next morning  to find Sateesh’s body in a frozen state after 5 hours of search.
Friends of Sateesh remember him as a vivacious person. His energy levels and his smile were infectious. He was a loving husband and great father. He is now survived by his wife Preethi and son Nihal, who meant the world to him.
Sateesh was a successful professional who ran a propriety construction company providing jobs to several needy people. He had a great vision and willingness towards Social Responsibility in building a community hall in his rural village- Halehalli, Gauribidanur Taluk, Karnataka which is now 60% complete. Preethi Sateesh is going through a very hard phase with all the responsibilities on her shoulder now. She is working really hard to raise money to be able to pay for her son’s education and day to day expenses. So through this fundraiser I hope to raise money for the community hall/memorial for her husband.
In the wake of untimely loss of Sateesh, we request  all of you who are reading this message to contribute to this cause of completion of his project which would mark as a fullfilment of the dream of a life lived, not a life lost.
It’s been a while since the accident happened but never the less the present situation is still the same.
I humbly request you to please contribute how much ever you can and ease the stress off from the family.
