    Praveen Singh

    from Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand

Praveen Singh Rana, 32 years old belongs to a small village Dasda in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. He has done his primary education from the village and 10th from the next village called Bhankoli. He belongs to a farmer family. During his education, he has seen lots of struggles of his parents for fulfilling basic needs. His village was 5 km far from the roadside and everything they transported through physical effort only. He has done his graduation from The PG college Uttarkashi. During the student's life, he faced many challenges but he always had the courage to go against the odds. That helped him to achieve many small- small successes in his life. He is post graduate in management (MBA in HR) and a postgraduate in Disaster management. He did all the mountaineering courses from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering with “A’’ grades.  He is a master in adventure and mountaineering field. He has managed doing all his education and mountaineering courses with the help of sponsorships and lots of struggle but did not give up. At the age of 19 he has worked as the visiting instructor at NIM (one of the best mountaineering institutes in Asia). Now he has taken one big challenge to climb Mt Everest in 2022. Mountaineering is considered one of the toughest games of the world where life is full of uncertainty.
He is chosen to climb MT Everest because it was his childhood dream. He has been preparing for this challenge for the past 10 years but dropped due to high expedition costs. He wants to inspire his village and community people not to give up and take challenges in their life. In his village, all the children lack the inspiration to do any challenging things in their life. They are not inspired to prepare themselves for their education as well as bright future.
The main objective behind the expedition is to inspire his locality, village people and connect them with employment.
Preparation for this expedition:
  • “A’’ grade qualified in all the mountaineering courses including Rescue training from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering Uttarkashi.
  • Successfully climbed 6000-meter peak -Mt Yunam in Himanchal Pradesh and Mt Stock Kangri and Mt Golep Kangri in Ladakh area.
  • The Skiing course qualified from Shymbulak Ski & Snowboard School Almaty Kazakhstan.
  • 10+ years of experience in mountaineering, working as an instructor in various institutes in India including NIM.
His plan after a successful climb, if He will be able to manage the fund to climb Mt Everest, will visit all the villages and under privilege, areas to share his experiences and struggle he had in his life, and how He was able to manage to do the number of things in his life. Secondly, he is a master in mountaineering and adventure field and wants to start an organization based on rural tourism and adventure in Uttrakhand. For this, he needs to take this challenge in his life to develop his self-credibility and motivate them through setting examples. And want to provide employment to the village people to inspire them for their happy life.
The total cost of climbing Mt Everest is 30 Lacs. He has applied for March 2022 and needs to deposit this amount till December 2021, but He is not able to manage this amount and visualizing failure in case not able to deposit this amount.

He knows that lot of uncertainty is involved with this mission even loss of life but He is ready to take the challenge and wants to fulfill his dream to help, motivate and inspire others.

He requests those people, who can support him for this cause and be a part of his journey to reach the top of Mt Everest and connect to the underprivileged area in Uttrakhand. It will be his responsibility to make you feel proud to reach on top of Mt Everest and call your names.

Even one-rupee matters.

Thank you so much for considering this proposal
