Project Update : Providing oxygen cylinders, concentrators to hospitals, NGOs or Covid Care centres.

After supporting the migrants, distressed people last year during covid, we are aiming at Providing oxygen cylinders, concentrators to hospitals, NGOs providing support to oxygen drive or Covid Care centres.

As reported few days back India crossed the 4 lakh mark of new single-day cases, the highest tally in the world since the pandemic began.
This increasing burden of COVID positive patients, 3,000+ recorded fatalities per day, lack of life-saving equipment like oxygen cylinders and concentrators, is burdening our healthcare infrastructure.

Oxygen supply - the need of the hour.
There is a critical and immediate need for oxygen in hospitals and COVID Care Centers.
Where the funds will be used:

  • To procure and expand oxygen distribution.
  •  Each 25 KG cylinder costs INR 20,000 and the accessories kit - mask, humidifier, spanner and pipe are for INR 2500- 3,500. These prices are not inclusive of GST. GST : 18% to be added on cylinder and the accessories kit.
  • By providing oxygen concentrators- 5 litre- INR 45000
  • We are hoping this endeavour will help reach many people and help amplify the cause. We are hoping we can help provide atleast 30-40 oxygen cylinders support from the contributions we garner.

Last year :Project Feed the Needy

Initially the intiative was to provide dry ration kits as well as food packets for daily wage workers, migrant population, slum dwellers, pourakarmikas in few areas in Bangalore to support them in times of the lockdown and COVID -19. The aim was to provide support to 1000 families or workers if possible who have lost their means of livelihood. The endeavour is also to provide cooked meals to the migrant workers during the period of the lockdown.

We are overwhelmed by all your support towards the poor and migrant workers in the midst of the COVID -19 crisis. We have been able to reach out to more than 3000 poor families and migrant population so far through this project. There are still huge populations of migrants who are living on the fringe of starvation in the city, often barely surviving on donated dry rations. Many of them have been undertaking treacherous journeys on foot with the lockdown being eased and some of them are staying back hoping for some respite either in terms of food or through sponsored travel.

We intend to continue our endeavour of serving the migrants and also ensure that the migrants reach their hometowns at the earliest through sponsored journeys if possible.

We want to reach as many migrants as we can, as soon as we can so that their sufferings are reduced.
