On May 23, we lost our friend Pradeep Kumar, at the unfairly young age of 28, to COVID-19. A reporter with The Hindu, Pradeep was enthusiastic, full of life, well informed and fiercely opinionated. He leaves behind a grieving family, innumerable friends, readers and lives he touched with his words.

Pradeep was the sole breadwinner of his family. This fund is to make sure that his mother, for whom he cared dearly, is able to support herself and tide through this sudden bereavement.
