The world is witnessing its worse ever form of pandemic and it has affected our country in the worst possible way.. Many have lost their livelihoods due to the pandemic...People are dying of hunger even before the virus is hitting them.
Every Rs.1000 donated equals to 10 home cooked meals OR weekly ration kit for a family of 5.
ABOUT US :
We are 2 sisters running a FSSAI approved home kitchen called SN’s Home Kitchen since February 2020 in Noida.
We started providing paid meals for covid affected families at a very nominal cost when the 2nd wave hit hard in Delhi NCR this April.
We realised one day apart from covid families there are many other families as well who are HUNGRY as have lost their livelihoods due to this pandemic. We decided to provide food for them from our side and managed to do it twice a week.
OUR AIM :
Since most people residing in the bastis and slums of NOIDA are migrants, daily wage workers, rickshaw drivers, rag pickers etc.- they are all unemployed and unable to afford basic food at the moment. We managed to provide meals from 50 to 100 people twice a week all by ourselves but that didn’t suffice even one small area of the city.
Our aim is to provide homecooked, hygienic food following all safety protocols to atleast 2000 people per week for atleast a month or provide ration kits to atleast 500 families per week.
To ensure the food does not perish, we will distribute Ration kits to a family of 5 which will last for about a week.
The kit will consist of –
5 kg rice
2 kg dal
5 kg aata
1 pkt salt
100 gms haldi
100 gms mirchi
1 pkt oil
2 kgs sugar

HOW IT WORKS :
- SN’s Home Kitchen will cook food and prepare ration kits in their kitchen.
- People/areas in need of food are identified and weekly food/ration kit will be distributed.
- Food and Ration Kits are delivered via our staff and volunteers.
