Let me tell you all a story of the wonderful and intelligent Golden Retriever. Myself, Hishitha from Bengaluru, I'm basically an wildlife conservationist and environmentalist. Pinky is being a lovely pet and we all consider her a family member.
It was recently, I got to know about the health issue of pinky 5 months ago, my father’s friend's family took her to Dr. Aishwarya as she was suffering from cough and enlargement abdomen after several diagnostic aids helped the doctor to identify that she was suffering from Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) which led to ascites (abdomen enlargement usually fluid-filled).
It's an irreversible condition and strictly should be maintained her heart balance with medications for life long. The doctor said that if the tablets are given on a daily and on monthly basis properly for life long, she would be extending her life a little longer.
You can see her now in the picture that they have removed all the hairs due to severe ticks’ problem and on 29th of April for 3 days she was admitted to the clinic as she was very serious.
The tablets which are prescribed by the doctor which we have to provide her lifelong every month on a daily basis are as follows: -
Tab safe heart 10mg (Pimobendan) – This medicine – Pimobendan Chewable tablets from Savavet provides USFDA approved treatment for chronic heart failure in dogs. It helps increase muscle contractility for better cardiac output. Dual mode action with positive inotropic effect & balanced vasodilatory effect. Available in easy to administer chewable tablets. Normally Safeheart is prescribed for the management of the signs of mild, moderate or severe congestive heart failure in dogs due to atrioventricular valvular insufficiency or dilated cardiomyopathy. The cost of the tab is Rs. 9000/- 2 boxes (Morning & Night after food).
1) Tab cardio support – Cardio Support tablets are a unique combination of L- Carnitine, Taurine, Co-enzyme Q10, Hawthorn extract, Eleuthero and Arjuna extract. It supports overall cardiovascular health of dogs and cats.

It is widely used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure and may be prescribed after a heart attack. It also lowers the chances of having a heart attack or stroke. The cost of the tablet is Rs. 164/- for two strips (Daily once a day After food). The Total cost of above three medicines - Rs. 10,664/-
IMPORTANT NOTE: These tablets are important and strictly have to be given to Pinky every month without fail in order to maintain the balance of the heart and cardio and live a longer life.
