Dear Friends,
My name is Rama, and I have set up this fundraiser to arrange funds for my brother Phaneendra’s (38 years old) head and neck cancer treatments. I have shared his ordeal with this disease below:
My brother Phaneendra has been battling a relentless and recurrent form of head and neck cancer for the past year. His journey began in January 2024, when he was first diagnosed with this life-threatening disease. Since then, his life has revolved around surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, all aimed at defeating this relentless illness. Despite enduring these rigorous treatments, his battle is far from over.
Currently, he is undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, which includes chemotherapy along with Cetuximab, a specialized targeted therapy. While this treatment gives us hope, it also comes with a significant financial burden.
Over the past year, we have exhausted most of our financial resources, spending Rs. 30 lakhs on his treatment, including surgeries, chemotherapy, diagnostic procedures, and hospital stays. In view of Cetuximab's weekly treatment cost of around 1 lakh INR, the estimated cost of the ongoing treatment is projected to be Rs. 25 lakhs, with Rs. 15 lakhs required for the initial treatment cycles.
This financial burden has taken a toll on our family. Despite our best efforts, we have depleted our savings and are unable to bear the mounting expenses.
Phaneendra’s only wish is to be cancer-free, and this is possible only with your support. Your generous contributions will directly fund his chemotherapy, Cetuximab targeted therapy, hospital stays, medications, and other critical medical care.
I request that you please donate whatever amount you can to this campaign. Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference in Phaneendra’s fight against this disease. If, for any reason, you cannot support us financially, please help by sharing this story on social media and with your loved ones. Your prayers, encouragement, and kindness mean the world to us.
Thank you for reading my brother’s story and supporting us during this difficult time. We are eternally grateful for your compassion and generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rama
