In face of a complete lockdown of the Nation, which is absolutely necessary, the daily wage earners are the hardest hit. They sustain on day-to-day wages and have no savings or extra rations to keep them afloat. A large number of them who work as migrant labor are miles away from their homes and communities. For such families and individuals, the fear of dying of hunger is greater than the pandemic itself. As fortunate as we may be to have a government that is proactive and has announced a host of economic relief measures for all sections of the society when dealing with a problem of this magnitude, we need all hands on deck.
We have contributed groceries to a few families from our side to the underprivileged and the less fortunate families.
