The world is currently at war with a pandemic - Corona or COVID 19', that has wreaked havoc on the entire globe in no time. Some essential service providers and healthcare workers are frontline warriors, but majority of the population has to play an important role by staying at home. For some it may be easy, inconvenient for some, but for the largest section of Indian population it is a matter of SURVIVAL.

In face of complete lockdown of the Nation, which is absolutely necessary, the daily wage earners are the hardest hit. They sustain on day to day wages and have no savings or extra rations to keep them afloat. Large number of them who work as migrant labor are miles away from their homes and communities. For such families and individuals, the fear of dying of hunger is greater than the pandemic itself. As fortunate as we may be to have a government that is proactive and has announced a host of economic relief measures for all sections of the society, when dealing with a problem of this magnitude, we need all hands on deck.

When we say WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, we mean it!

This crisis is bringing out the best in us and so many of you have come forward to offer help. Several people have offered their premises to be used as isolation or quarantine facilities if need be. Many more have offered to donate dry ration or even cash to provide food, medication etc. to the poor. We are so grateful for this support.The next few months are going to be tough and require us to work together with the government in their efforts to provide relief to people.
With this in mind, we have decided to launch "Corona Warriors Dehradun".

We are a group of young people, from all across Dehradun who are committed to ensure that our fellow citizens have access to basic necessities for surviving this crisis. We had started with providing help through personal means but having been flooded with requests for help, it is impossible to keep up.We are setting up this crowdfunding campaign so you can help us in our earnest efforts to serve the community. by contacting us on the numbers provided below. A good samaritan has offered his vacant premises to be used as a storage facility for goods donated or bought. Our team of volunteers will be distributing the ration kits in slum clusters. We will also respond to SOS calls from people who can inform us of locations where there is need. Any excess funds will be donated to the CM/PM Relief fund.

कोरोना अब एक वेश्विक महामारी बन चुकी है,इस महामारी से लड़ाई का यह समय अब हमारे देश के लिए अनिश्तित्ताओं व संकट से भरा होने वाला है। यह एक ऐसी जंग है जिसे हम घर बैठ कर लड़ सकते हैं। कुछ लोगों के लिए यह आसान हो सकता है और कुछ लोगों के लिए असुविधाजनक परन्तु समाज का एक बहुत बड़ा वर्ग ऐसा है जिसके लिए ये उनके जीने और मरने की लड़ाई है।
ध्याड़ी मजदूरों, खासकर प्रवासी मजदूरों जो की अपने घरों और लोगों से दूर हैं इसी वर्ग का एक बड़ा भाग हैं और इनके प्रभावित होने की संभावना सबसे अधिक है ।

हमारी सरकार ने इस मुश्किल समय में समाज के हर वर्ग के लिए आर्थिक पैकेज की घोषणा की है परन्तु इस वैश्विक संकट से लड़ने के लिए हमें हर संभव प्रयास करने की आवश्यकता होगी।

संकट की इस घड़ी में जिस प्रकार हमारे समाज के अनेकों लोग मदद के लिए सामने आये हैं वह प्रशंसनीय है। लोगों ने राशन, पैसे, दवाइयां यहाँ तक की कुछ लोगों ने तो अपने जगह को आइसोलेशन तथा क्वारंटाइन फैसिलिटी के तौर पर इस्तेमाल करने अनुमति भी दी है। हम इन सभी व्यक्तियों का धन्यवाद् देते हैं।
आने वाले कुछ महीने कठनाइयों से भरे होंगे और कठनाई की इस घड़ी में हमें एकजुट होकर तथा सरकार के प्रयासों में भागीदार बनकर लोगों की मदद करनी होगी।

इन परिस्थितियों को ध्यान में रखते हुए हमने कोरोना वारियर्स देहरादून का गठन करने का फैसला लिया है। यह देहरादून के युवाओं का एक ऐसा संगठन है जिसका एक मात्र उद्देश्य इस आपदा से निपटने के लिए देहरादून के लोगों तक दैनिक आवश्यकता की चीज़ें पहुंचाना होगा।

हम लोग इसकी शुरुआत निजी योगदान द्वारा कर रहे है परन्तु दिन प्रतिदिन जरूरतमंद लोगों की बड़ती हुई संख्या की मदद करना बेहद कठिन है।
हमारे इसी उद्देश्य को बिना रुके पूरा करने के लिए हम एक 'क्राउड फंडिंग' कैंपेन की शुरुआत कर रहे हैं। हमारे इस प्रयास में हमें आपकी सहायता की आवश्यकता है। आप हमारी सहायता इस कैंपेन में धनराशि दान करके कर सकते हैं अथवा नीचे दिए गए नंबर पर संपर्क कर आप हमें सूखा राशन , पैक्ड खाना , दैनिक आवश्यकता का सामान तथा टॉयलेटरीज भी दान कर सकते हैं।
हमारे एक साथी ने अपने ख़ाली  पड़े भवन को इस सामान के लिए गोदाम के तौर पर इस्तेमाल करनी की अनुमति दी है। हमारे वालंटियर्स झुग्गी झोपड़ियां,बस्तियों में राशन किट का वितरण करेंगे। हमें सूचना मिलने पर उन लोगों की भी सहायता करेंगे जिन्हें मदद की अत्यधिक आवश्यकता होगी । यदि कोई राशि बचे तो उसे मुख्यमंत्री/प्रधान मंत्री राहत कोश में दान कर दिया जाएगा।
