Our Story
My Name is Peerzada Yasir Rafiq, I have been running an education institution known as Mindwire Academy since last four years in Bandipora district of northern Kashmir.
Over the past four years, I realised that not a single student from Bandipora district was able to crack any major competitive exam like IAS, JKAS, NEET or JEE. When I went deep into this, I found that we hardly have any topnotch education infrastructure, we have no culture of book reading, hardly any innovation in teaching methods. Majority of students in Bandipora come from poor backgrounds, so they are not able to go to cities like Srinagar or Jammu. And there's hardly and help from the state or from the civil societies.
And that's what forced me to come up with the idea of creating a public library, which will be free for everyone. There will be a minor membership fee which will be used for library's maintenance. Students who can't afford the fee, will get free access. This will be our first step towards creating a culture of reading and development.
Mindwire academy has a building in Bandipora, now we want to dedicate a Hall for this library. To begin with, we need to construct book shelfs and have seating arrangement. once that's done, then we need books.
I appeal you all, please donate for this cause so that hundreds of poor children will have a space and books to plan their future. Please help us in making their future better and happy.
Your money will be used to construct the book shelve, seating arrangement and finally to buy books.
