    Pavagada Covid Relief Fund

    from Pavagada, Karnataka

Pavagada taluk has about 150 villages around it with a majority of farming population and is one of the most drought hit area in Karnataka. you can read more about Pavagada here

Pavagada is severely hit by the second wave of the pandemic and seeing a spike of Covid cases everyday. Out of these cases, many patients need immediate medical care for up to 8 to 10 days per patient. Pavagada has a limited bed capacity Government hospital with few oxygen and ICU beds to treat COVID patients.

Some of the patients are quarantined in isolation centers or far-off homes need to be on constant oxygen support to stabilize. But these isolated patients don’t get oxygen that easily as there aren't enough concentrators. Without oxygen, the condition of some of these sufferers deteriorates fast. By the time they arrive at the hospital in a state of urgency, even the doctors can’t do much.

Large social organizations and individual humanitarians have taken commendable efforts to help India fight the second wave of the pandemic. But most of these initiatives have only been able to reach big cities and large hospitals. Rural areas are awaiting even the most basic medical assistance.

How can you help?
We need to raise funds to continuously refill oxygen cylinders and obtain the oxygen concentrators, additional beds, PPE kits and medical supply right now.
Every donation towards this cause will directly save priceless lives.
