Hello there to everyone, friends and Family around the world. Im currently in West Bengal India and have been here for the past three months. I came to Ananda Nagar situated in the Purulia district eight hours north west of kolkata to deepen my spiritual Yog8ic practice with Ananda Marga and to get involved in projects that would benefit the local communities.
So I have ended up here for longer than I expected due to restrictions unable to travel and this has given me a great opportunity to help out here as best i can. This is said to be the poorest area of India and people struggle to get food and clothing here at the best of times so during this strict lockdown the local village people are really struggling to feed there familys!
Im currently based at the Ananda Nagar farmhouse and decided to build a traditional clay oven one month ago to help support the farm which does fantastic work in so many areas providing food and clothing for local villagers in these tough times. The People here dont have ovens so there was a huge excitement about the bread coming and so I decided to fire it up today on my birthday. Recieved well by all
So creating this fundraiser is to keep the bread flow going, create an income so the farm can function more efficiently to distribute food to village peoples in this chrisis. The cow shed is being extended and needs a roof. Planting more fruit trees and a program to educate the village people in how to plant and maintain so they can support themselfs. The plant nursey got destroyed in recent storm and needs rebuilt.
Please give generously as this fundraiser will help support the people and future of this area.
