We lost our very good friend and colleague, Pankaj Ambekar, who was bravely fighting the Covid virus. Pankaj was known for his helping nature and smiling face. He was truly one of a kind. A Godly man, loving husband, doting father and the best son, brother and friend anyone could have.
Even after being an Intelligent technocrat working with Infosys Ltd, Pankaj Ambekar was a dedicated devotee of ISCON temple. He not only followed Lord Krishna religiously but Lord Krishna's teaching were Integral part of his day-to-day lifestyle. Whoever interacted with him noticed his simplicity, calmness, selfless and inclusive view towards looking at anything.
Initially his wife Shilpa & younger son were diagnosed with Covid and Shilpa was hospitalized on 16 April. Fortunately Shilpa got cured and discharged from hospital on 22 April. On 17 th April, Pankaj developed Covid symptoms, his test results turned positive on 19th April. He was hospitalized immediately but his condition deteriorated very quickly and, unfortunately he succumbed to his illness on 04th May. He was just 38 years old.
He comes from humble family background and was the sole earning member of a family. He is survived by his wife, two young sons (Parth (6 years) and Balram (8 months)) and elderly parents. This fundraiser is aimed at supporting the family, partly help in paying outstanding loans and education of the two young kids. This is a devastating time and obviously, there is nothing that can alleviate the pain arising out of the tragic loss. However, a small gesture of kindness can go a long way so that they do not have to worry about it on top of the grief and shock which they are currently undergoing.
Please help his family get some semblance during this difficult time. We need all your support, little or large, in this quest of trying to secure a future for them.
