Hello,
My father had a decompensated chronic liver disease in the past. 3 years ago he was admitted in Apollo hospital for Fungal Sinusitis for almost 3 months and was given homecare treatment for a few months later. Although he recovered to a great extent with the help of doctors and the treatment at Apollo, he had been facing some difficulties regarding his liver stability. Since then his levels were fluctuating and on and off he had been admitted in the hospital frequently all through the time.
Recently, his liver was deteriorating and the doctors suggested to go ahead for a liver transplant as soon as possible. We were fortunate to find a donor and the surgery was conducted on 12 December,2018.
Sadly, due to immuno-suppression and previous history of fungal infection he got fungal pneumonia and is undergoing treatment for the same. We had planned for the costs for his treatment for transplant but didn't foresee a huge cost being incurred for fungal infection. He is expected to undergo a home care treatment with round the clock nurse and continuous investigations and consultations for 3 months after his discharge. Post-surgery care is very crucial for transplant patients for a few months after their surgery since they would be prone to more infections than the usual due to their low immunity levels. Hence, we need to provide him with all the required care and treatment post surgery to save him from further infections. With the huge unexpected cost for his present treatment we have exhausted the insurance amount and still have a huge cost incurring in the next few months. We had spent a huge amount for his treatment and have exhausted our savings and insurance.
Please help me provide my father with the required treatment and save his life.
