Malathy, 33 - is my maid, single mother of two children, and a survivor of domestic abuse. For five years, she has been to hell and back with the Indian bureaucratic system. Finally decided to sign the divorce papers in exchange for full custody of her two children, aged 12 and 11. She works from 5 AM - 3 PM (non-stop) as a cook, maid, and cleaner and helps in 4 homes, including mine, every day.
