My mom (P Girijamba Devi) 49 years old who is a very strong woman. She was perfectly healthy with no co-morbidities. But then she was tested positive for COVID-19 strain 2 in April 2021. She was immediately admitted to Columbia Asia hospital on 10th April. She had 95% lung infection due to COVID and was later on ventilated for half a month and she fought through it very strongly! She is so strong and brave that she kept trying to motivate us and make us stronger whilst fighting COVID!

It is really all her well-wisher's prayers and blessings, the strong will that has made her fight Corona and now she's COVID-free, But unfortunately, she has got Post COVID complication- Encephalopathy. Hence she is unable to
communicate and is bedridden for 3 months now.
She had spent 2 months in Colombia Asia hospital (from 10th April 2021 to 14th June 2021) and has undergone the best care and treatment possible. After 2 months of treatment, she could finally respond to a painful stimulus.
So after that, the doctors told their only time has to heal her so they stabilized her and sent her back home.
During this hospital stay, we are really grateful and truly blessed to have known my mom's college chairman. They were our major support during that time. The hospital bill came up to 29 lakhs and they helped us a lot with it.
And now after a month (21st July), she started getting seizures.
She has had Super Refractory seizures for 5 continuous days! And they told
me there is a 40-60% mortality rate for such kinds of seizures! 10 days ago the seizures finally subsided but there are still seizures occurring now and then.
We have spent 7 lakhs till now, and per day it is costing us around 50-60 thousand rupees. Doctors are trying their level best to give her the best care possible, to treat her seizures and Encephalopathy, and send her home safe.
She is still fighting and is hanging in there! And there are improvements every single day!
They may be small ones but still, it is an improvement! And We are not going to give up on her! She was always there for everyone who needs help and never stepped back! And I want to be there for her the way she
was for all of us! I want to do everything possible to get her out of this state!
In trying to do so we have exhausted all our savings. My dad is retired, my brother and I are still studying and we don't know how do we repay the loans if we take them. So I do not know how to do this without your help, support, prayers, and blessings!

We would really like your help in making my Mother better! I can not put it in words how thankful we will be for your help. We will be forever grateful for your support and blessings!
Thank you.

Treatment wise :
- She is presently in Neuro ICU with ventilator support
-They had to add multiple antiepileptic drugs, give her infusions as well like midazolam and ketamine
infusions,
-EEG was done every day from day 1 till today to keep a check on her seizure activity
-And had a brief period of hypotension for which they added inotropic drugs
-She had a bronchial secretion infection in between, so they put her on higher antibiotics.
-They are also giving nephroprotective and liver-protective medications
-She had albumin deficiency, due to which they had given her albumin infusions for 5 days and
hemoglobin levels in the blood were low, hence they gave 2 units of blood
-For her encephalitis, they have given iv steroids for 5 days and they are planning to give IVIG as well
I am forever grateful for your help.
