    Nganchu Phom

    from Dimapur, Nagaland

Please help Mrs. Nganchu Phom to cover for her long-term medical costs (Stroke Recovery and Care).

Hi, my name is Paul. My wife is Nganchu Phom (Nancy). She is from India, Nagaland. Nimbine Lemshong is our only daughter just turning four. We live and serve in Chiang Mai province of Thailand as volunteer missionaries involving in teaching Bible literacy under The Bible League Thailand in the last four years.

On the 19th of October 2021, at 12:40PM, Nancy  has had a Brain Hemorrhage (stroke), and undergone two brain surgeries. Nancy, Nimbine and I were having our lunch in the kitchen.

While we were still eating, Nancy held her head tightly and walked out of the kitchen leaving Nimbine and me in the kitchen without telling us what was going wrong with her.  After a minute or two I heard a strange noise coming from the living room, while I was feeding Nimbine.
I left at once to find out what was happening and shockingly and to my surprise, I found Nancy vomiting allover herself lying on the sofa unconscious.  I immediately called Berea Bible Institute staff for help and we hurriedly took Nancy to the nearby Hospital.

At the emergency room nurses and doctors quickly checked and after assessing Nancy, Doctor reported that right side of her body is not working.

Therefore, Doctor concluded that Nancy had a problem happening within her brain. Doctor then referred Nancy to Nakornping hospital in Chiang Mai, where Nancy undergone scanning of her brain.  After the scan, Doctor reported that there is bleeding inside Nancy’s brain.

He suggested that the only option for her survival is to do brain surgery to clean the blood inside her brain.  I signed necessary documents for Nancy's brain surgery. The surgery took two hours. It took doctor two days to completely drain out all the blood inside Nancy's brain.

On Thursday, 4th November 2021, Nancy had high fever and her body unable to respond. She was referred again to scan her brain. The scan revealed that Nancy's wound inside her brain bleeds. So Nancy undergone second brain surgery.

Right now, Nancy cannot respond well and her right limbs cannot move. Her blood pressure is normal and her breathing system is normal and she remain unconscious. Nancy has been transferred from Neuro Surgical ward (ICU) at Nakornping hospital to McCORMIC Hospital in Chiang Mai for treatments.
Her recovery journey will be long and we need desperately need your financial support to meet all the expenses and medical costs involved. The hospital where Nancy is currently admitted is private and we don't have enough money to cover for the bills.

We are not eligible to get privileges in Thai public hospitals since we are volunteers.  Therefore, we were required to pay the full medical bills of Nancy (Mrs. Nganchu Phom).

In the first two weeks of her first brain surgery, Nancy's total medical bill stood at 158,741.00 Thai Baht.  I borrowed 60,000.00 Baht and the remaining balance covered by funds coming in from donations.  Currently I need USD20,000.00 by end of December 2022.

This amount is needed to be used to pay Nancy's medical bills at the Private Hospital for indefinite period of time and to be used for rehabilitation and intensive caring for Nancy at a private nursing home for three months.
