Greetings from RID 3131,
Hearing the sirens echo through our houses and another bigger number for the cases reported has become normal. But while we can sit at our homes and be rest assured that help will arrive immediately at the press of a button. There are communities, who have to first think about the cost of an ambulance! Before they make the call. The issue doesn’t end there, because they can still be denied transportation for a critical family member due to a lack of transportation. Imagine that, a life that could’ve been saved, a cry that could one day be laughter, lost because an ambulance wasn’t accessible.
Covid 19 made the shortcomings of our healthcare systems evident. We’ve had an alarming number of patients, unable to get help because of the sheer volume of cases. With over 24,000 emergency calls made in just our national capital and patients getting charged ₹ 19,000 for a 19 km trip the situation only continues to get worse. But it doesn’t mean that our humaneness should stop. We’ve always taken pride in our ability to come together when the times get rough and this is our chance to save multiple lives while still living your everyday life.
We plan on buying a second-hand vehicle from the market and then converting them into fully-fledged running ambulances. We will furnish the vehicle with every necessary medical equipment and then present the impeccable ambulance to our community. However, for this noble cause, we need financial support from mammoth organizations like yours, to get this ambulance on the road.
We've been associated with various Community Service projects, Food, Blood and, Blanket Donation Drives, Cleanliness Drives, Stem-Cell, and Plasma Donation drives during the Covid19 epidemic to name a few and many other welfare initiatives. All this is only possible thanks to the unending efforts of our passionate standing committee of Community Service.
Rotaract is a foundation that could be defined as a faction of young leaders who are developing innovative solutions to some of the world's greatest problems. Rotaract is primarily a global not-for-profit institution that holistically caters to personal and professional development needs with an extensive network across the globe, as well as largely setting sights on community service with our perennial belief in being of service to others.
Rotaract District 3131 is a non-profit organization striving to bring a change in the world by working in various distinctive standing committees along with Rotary International District 3131. (referred to as RID 3131) It functions directly under the guidance of Rotary International.
Presently, 80+ Rotaract clubs and 2000+ Rotaractors are functioning cooperatively in RID 3131.
Now that you know every aspect of our organization and our standing committee, we ask for compassion from your organization, to take the step forward and join hands with us for a noble cause.
