80G tax benefits for INR donations

This fundraiser, taken up together by Safe N' Happy Periods and Maddat, is a part of COVID-19 relief efforts to provide sanitary napkins to sex workers in BUDHWAR PETH area, Pune. Due to the nationwide lockdown, there is an uneven distribution of resources including necessities like sanitary napkins, which often goes unnoticed in the ration kits too. Underprivileged women are at a disadvantage and don't have access to menstrual hygiene products which increases health risks and sanitation problems.

With your help, we hope to raise an amount of INR 1,00,000 that will allow us to provide pads to over 1,000 women (sex workers in Bhudhwar Peth, Pune) for three months. We plan to donate these sanitary napkins, with the help of AAJKAL (a theatre group in Pune) and their volunteer base, at the sites of Budhwar Peth. We’re incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to help people during these tough times. All donations over INR 1,000 are eligible for 50% Income Tax exemption (under section 80G of the Income Tax Act) and can request the donation receipt.
Safe N' Happy Periods is a volunteer-led, donor-supported social initiative working to provide education and awareness on good menstrual health through workshops and talks. Safe N' Happy Periods (SNHP) is the flagship project of AMODINI Foundation, a registered charitable trust, having an 80G certificate. Maddat is a social initiative started by 8 students and alumni of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai working across areas of relief and social work. I +91-84250-63301 I +91-99201-48985
