Vasanth Kumar was my colleague while I was working at Forest Survey of India, Bangalore. It is with extreme sadness that I share the news of his passing due to Covid related complications on June 2nd, 2021. He was one of the nicest gentlemen I have met. I can never forget his support during my tenure at the office which made my days a lot easier and smoother, particularly during our forest visits. He left behind a young wife Nayana and a 5 year old daughter. He also lost his mother a month before his passing away. The family is understandably shocked by this loss and are unfortunately not financially prepared as this was unexpected. Passing away of Vasanth at a young age has caused trauma to his family and we are doing everything we can to support them during these tough times. That is why I have created this fund raiser for them - I understand that during these unprecedented times, many have lost dear ones, lost jobs, have suffered emotionally, mentally and financially. However, little drops make the mighty ocean. Any small contribution towards this, will help the family to stay strong and build a foundation for their future – particularly for the bright future of his little daughter. I request everyone to take a moment and make a donation in whichever way possible. It will also help them redeem all the hospital costs they spent for Vasanth’s treatment. Thank you everyone in advance for showing kindness and support towards each other and displaying the power of humanity!
