Hello, this is Surekha Bedide, wife of Narender Bedide (Kuffir)
Many of you know Kuffir as the co-founder and editor of Round Table India, a platform that has given voice to countless stories, ideas, and struggles that often go unheard. For years, he has worked tirelessly to create space for critical conversations on caste, society, and justice.
Today, Kuffir himself is in urgent need of our support.
A year ago, he suffered a brain stroke. Since then, his health has sharply declined and he now battles a severe neurological disorder that has left him struggling physically and emotionally. His condition requires round-the-clock care at a specialised rehabilitation facility care that addresses both his neurological and psychological needs.
The costs, however, are overwhelming.
Essential services alone begin at Rs. 90,000 per month.
With doctor consultations, therapies, and vital medicines, expenses can reach up to Rs. 2 lakhs per month.
This is far beyond what his family and close friends can manage on their own.
Kuffir has always been someone who gave more than he had through his words, his work, and his relentless belief in justice. Now, it is our turn to stand by him.
Even a small contribution from you can go a long way in ensuring that he receives the care he urgently needs. Your support could mean stability, dignity, and the chance for recovery for one of the most committed thinkers of our time.
🙏 Please contribute what you can, and share this appeal widely.
Together, we can make a life-changing difference.
