Help Nakul Represent India In Harvard College (HPAIR) 2020, USA

Ask for an update

I was born and brought up in Karnal (Haryana), with my native language being Hindi. I then moved to Gurgaon for pursuing my career in Computer Science and Engineering field and it’s almost 3 and a half years ago I was guided to The NorthCap University, Gurgaon (formerly known as ITM, Gurgaon), where I was accepted into a 4-year B.Tech program. This area of study will give me the knowledge and background to achieve my ultimate goal.

From a highly selective pool of international applicants, I got selected as one of the 300 delegates from all over the world to represent my college as well as my nation INDIA to the Harvard College Conference (HPAIR: Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations), which will be held from February 14th to 17th, 2020, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

My sole purpose for attending the HPAIR 2020:
Being Nakul, I just want to contribute to the community, prevent illegal trade and crime in the world. According to Crime Records Bureau crimes like burglary, arson etc have been decreased while crimes like murder, sex abuse, gang rape etc have been increased. Also the modern technologies and hi-tech methods help criminals in achieving their misdeeds. Even though we cannot predict who all may be the victims of crime but can predict the place that has probability for its occurrence.
Me with my 2 friends had been working on a project entitled “Crime Analysis and Management System”. Day by day the crime rate is increasing considerably. Crime cannot be predicted since it is neither systematic nor random. We’ve been working on a project for a long time, and invested more than $300 for this project till now, spent all my savings and now ready with a prototype as well. This includes the scientific research based on prediction and analysis using a programming language R PROGRAMMING (used for statistical computing and scientific research). So for building such a powerful crime analytics tool we have to collect crime records and evaluate it.

I really need to outsource this project and discuss it with other young professionals and understand the remaining need of this project. I know there will be a lot of applicants who deserve crowdfunding. But, me receiving the funding will open the doors to many opportunities.

The details of the estimated (cheapest) expenses are:
Registration fee: $450 (Rs.32,500)
Accommodation (approx.): $200 (Rs.14,500)
Travel: $1000 (Rs.72,000)
VISA Fee: $160 (Rs.11,520)
Approx total expense (min.): $1810 (Rs. 1,30,000)

I would highly appreciate even very small contributions to it.
