Hi guys, the following message might be long but please take two minutes to read it. The article is about our house-help who has been with us for the past 40 odd years. We're just trying to get the word out to NGOs or anyone who can help with her situation.
She’s had a very hard life. She was the sole breadwinner of the family for most of her life. Her husband passed away from a sudden cardiac arrest in the middle of the night during the delta wave. Her son separated from his wife a couple of years ago with the sole custody of his two children.
Years of manual labor have left her with aches and pains and she hoped to retire now that she's 60+. She was only working to take care of her own expenses & not burden anyone.
Just when things were better, tragedy struck her again. She lost her son on the 3rd of July when he drowned saving a 10 year old boy at Juhu Beach.
Now she's in charge of her grandchildren who've been abandoned by their mother and she is clueless about how she'll manage. She's not fit to take on more work.
She's broken, grieving, and incapable of supporting herself and two children under the age of 7.
Her son died doing a noble thing, saving another life for his own. This is just a message to anyone out there who can help her in this situation. We are looking for NGOs that can help support her so please do get back to us if you have any idea about it. Anyone willing to donate anything at all, be it food, clothing, or finances, please do reach out to us and we will provide you with further details. The last thing that I would request is to please spread the word if you can and help us help them.
