Medical Condition
Mrs. Shail Devi is currently in critical condition in the ICU after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage (intracerebral hemorrhage) caused by a suspected cortical AVM (abnormal blood vessels in the brain).
She was rushed to the emergency department with sudden left-side paralysis, vomiting, and reduced consciousness. A CT scan revealed a large right fronto-parietal brain bleed with severe swelling and mass effect, which is life-threatening.
Treatment So Far

• Emergency decompressive craniectomy (brain surgery) to relieve pressure
• Re-exploration surgery to evacuate the brain hemorrhage
• Excision of AVM and coagulation of multiple feeder blood vessels
• Currently intubated and on ventilator support in ICU
• Under continuous neuro-monitoring, anti-epileptic treatment, antibiotics, and anti-edema therapy

Despite two major brain surgeries, her condition remains critical, and recovery is expected to be slow and prolonged. Doctors have indicated the possible need for long-term ventilator support and tracheostomy.
