Shabir Hussain Khan is India’s biggest blood donor. Mr Khan lives in the conflict-racked area of Kashmir and has generously donated 174 pints of blood to those in need since 1980. He has volunteered with the Indian Red Cross Society for 40 years, leading a team across Kashmir who tend to earthquake- and flood-affected areas to provide necessary aid. Yet Mr Khan feels crushed by his own poverty. He provides for his adopted daughter as well as his mother’s medical bills and care by working as a manual labourer 6 days a week. When we realised that no fundraising pages had been set up for this truly selfless man, we felt compelled to act.
Therefore we have started a fundraising campaign for Mr Khan and all donations will go directly into his bank account. Here is a screenshot proving this. We are hoping to raise enough money to provide Mr Khan with the necessary means to live comfortably whilst continuing his charity work.
