“ I was born in between two sisters, in a joint family of 14 people. SInce childhood, I have never thought of myself as anything but a boy. As far as I can remember, I have always dressed as a boy, played with boys, and grown up playing cricket with them. Even though I was called a tomboy, I knew it was not a phase, I really was different from my sisters. The problem started when puberty hit and menstruation started. That is when I started hating my body. Something did not feel right. As I felt like a male trapped in a female body, I dressed and spoke like a male; society was not kind to me-the social taboo, the criticism, the bullying and laughter behind my back made adolescence quite difficult. Although my parents were conservative, they accepted me the way I was- with the condition that I would never undergo a sex change operation. Although you cannot tell I am female by my appearance - my feminine name has made life really difficult; I have felt discrimination in my workplace , in relationships and even in simple queues at the airport or even the loo! In 2015, I tragically lost both my parents and it is only recently, that I have decided to go ahead with my sex change operation. I am on testosterone for the past 2 months and I finally feel like I am going to take a chance and live my full life. My message to all would be to be kind- you don’t know what someone else is going through.”
I'm seeking for some help to move forward with the surgery. Are you guys willing to help me with the cause? If so, please join. Thank you.
