Lucy
Ms. Lucy was born on a sad monsoon night when sky was rumbling and stars were nowhere to be seen. She had three more siblings who couldn't survive long as fleas and ticks showed no mercy to their frail, little bodies. Luckily she managed to find a shelter in a place where a nearby family used to dump their trash. Trash is not her favorite place to sleep on but hey, street dogs don't get to choose, right? The people who used to look after her temporarily are about the leave the place, leaving her behind
My precious girl doesn't know what harsh streets hold for innocent puppies like her. She is too small to survive on her own as her mother has also decided to change her territory. She lives right next to a busy road, something we all are afraid of when it comes to dogs in India.
Every time I go see her, I am scared that she may not even be there. All we need is a home for her, a place where people love her for her little habits, where she is adored for her quirks, where she can feel safe. You can make that possible by donating towards her travel costs!
Brownie
Brownie had a rough start at life. When she was barely a month old, she decided to follow her mother up to a distance. Giant things on the road looked scary and people almost stepped on her teeny tiny self. The next thing she knew, a big dog came out of nowhere, looked at her with all the anger he could muster, and pressed his teeth deep inside her frail neck. She must have squealed so hard that many humans came to her rescue. They shooed the big dog away and brought her to a place where she could feel safe.
The new place was called a 'foster home' and the bigger dogs were nicer there. She learned to trust humans and her foster mum made sure she never gets bullied again!
After going through so much, she deserves a second chance- a home and family of her own.
Being a street dog in India is not easy and we all would agree to that. After many failed attempts at local adoptions, I am trying to raise funds for two of my rescued pups who stand no chance on the harsh streets of India. Every penny you donate brings them one step closer to their forever families.
Please skip one expensive coffee today and take pride in saving a street dog's life. Kindly spread the word and share in your circle.
These pups will be forever grateful to you.
