My name is Mohd Aziz. I am here to seek help for the treatment of my mother Miskina Begum suffering from Multiple myeloma and Paraplegia (paralysis in the lower body). She is bedridden and not able to do anything on her own.
Current situation: On 10th January 2020 we took her to emergency due chest pain and breathelesness. Doctors immediately put her on ventilator and after investigation they told us that lung surgery is required and did that. Surgery was good but due to blood cancer she is not improving. She is on ventilator and daily expense of ICU is around 1.5 lac. I need urgent money to pay the bills to hospital.
Background: Due to myeloma, her spinal bones got damaged and her spinal cord got pinched and now she is not able to move her lower body. Spinal surgery was done in April 2019. Till then Myeloma was not diagnosed. After one month her organs were not working properly and her Haemoglobin reduced to 3. which is very critical. we took her to an emergency in Fortis Vasant Kunj. They admitted her to ICU and treating the symptoms. Thereby doing tests, they got to know it is Myeloma. For 18 days she was in ICU and the expense for 1 day of ICU is around 1 Lac. She was better at the time of discharge. After that, the medications and cycle dose of chemotherapy were going on for 2 more months. Her disease got lower down and everything was looking better but complete remission from disease was not there.
Now after a few months of treatment, the disease is relapsed and back. Now Doctor has suggested other treatments. Which is too expensive and I am not able to arrange money for that. They will start Carfilzomib which is around 50000 per injection alongside oral medicines. The cycle is of 4 weeks with 6 Carfilzomib injections. 6 cycles are required for the treatment.
Please help me for God's sake. My mother is a single parent for me. I lost my father a long time ago. I cant see her in pain. She is suffering a lot in front of my eyes and I am not able to do anything.
Please please please help me. Being a single parent she already suffered a lot in her life. Now wanted to give her a good life but this disease has taken away everything from me. Please help me. please help me.
