We have been working with migrant workers since 2005. We have worked at the grassroots levels of community organising, helping women through capacity building programmes and fighting against bonded labour.
During the second wave of the pandemic, our district has seen a lot of deaths. People’s livelihoods have been severely affected. Since May 14, the entire garment and textile industry has been shut down, leaving many workers (especially migrant workers) and families without any means of sustenance.
We want to create garment units so that migrant workers can work there. Please help us raise this amount so that the workers who keep the country going are not left without any means of income.
