Meena comes from an agricultural family. Her father, the sole bread earner of the family, working in the fields taken up on lease from big farm owners.
During the second wave of the Pandemic, Meena's father, Attarchand ji was diagnosed with Covid during the first week of May. He was hospitalized in a Govt facility, where he was able to recover within a month's time, and was finally discharged on the 25th of May. However, post Covid, he faced a lot of complications, and was diagnosed with a chronic lung condition. Due to this condition of his, he can no longer work in the fields.
Attarchand ji is the sole bread earner of the house, and due to his condition, his family now faces a huge economic challenge.
The following is a list of (financial) areas where the family needs your help:
1) Meena had rented a room in the Yamuna Khadar area, to keep his father away from the dusty environment of the farms where he used to work - the monthly rent for the same is 5000 + utilities
2) Attarchand ji (Meena's father) had leased land for farming, from large farm owners. He was diagnosed with Covid during the harvesting season, and due to his inability to work, the family was unable to make whatever meagre money they could from the harvest.
The rent for his farm is due for 2021, and the large farm owners are pressing the family for recovering the money. The amount owed comes up to a whopping 1,50,000
3) Additionally, Attarchand ji (Meena's father) had also taken up loans to buy seeds and other farming equipment, which totals up to a (whopping) rough figure of 3,00,000
Meena had been saving some money for her higher education, which she spent on her father's treatment.
The family is now devoid of a bread earner, and has no source of income, while the interest on their debt keeps piling up.
We are trying to raise INR 2,00,000 to help Meena and her family clear out some of the immediate dues, while Meena and her brother try to look for a job which will ensure a steady flow of income.
Please help Meena get back on her feet!
