Almost 35 years ago, a certain energetic, charming and flamboyant man brought to Odisha its first western stringed instrument - the guitar. Fast forward to almost 4 decades later, almost 90% of all the guitarists in Cuttack have learnt how to play the guitar from him directly or indirectly. Mr. Mubarak, now ~65 years old, has unfortunately been a victim of this ruthless pandemic. His flourishing institute has shut down and he cannot give private classes because of the perpetual lockdowns. Furthermore, given his age, efforts to adjust to online classes have been in vain.
Those who have learnt how to play the guitar from him surely realize how important his contribution has been to the music community of this silver city. We, some of his former students from late 2000s, are trying to raise funds for him to help him with day-to-day expenses. Please contribute wholeheartedly.

DOB=9th Jan 1950..born and brought up in cuttack city..
Education=just 10th pass out.. I was very bright, brilliant and extraordinary student. My parents had a long cherished dream 2 C me as phycian, but alas and aback😢could not fulfil their wish bcz I was overpowered by Maa SARASWATI and destined as musician 4 which my father (a cop) ousted me from home. Pusuaded my music education in Royal institute of London, Mount Rd,Chennai then it was Madras.. Completed a 6yrs course in 2 yrs in the year 1974. Fortunately I was d blue-eyed boy of my teacher/Principal Mr. THOMAS from London.During my training period used 2 play Guitar and mandolin in South Indian music industry 2 earn my bread and butter. Had a lot of opportunities 2 accompany LEGENDARY playback singer S.P.BALASUBRAMAIAM,S.JANAKI,P.SUSHEELA AND P. V. SRINIBASHAN.toured with them for stage shows 2 Colombo, Singapore and Bangkok..
